Speakout Challenge
Congratulations to all the Hackney students who reached the regional Speakout Challenge final and to the winners Ines, Agnes and Jordy.
Students from across Hackney took part in workshops on speaking with confidence. The 17 winners from the school competitions came together at the Petchey Academy in March for the Hackney final.
The Speakout Challenge is run by Speakers Bank (part of the Speakers Trust charity) and the Jack Petchey Foundation. Young people get training in speaking techniques and practice speaking in front of others. The sessions teach young people to speak with confidence and enjoy it.
