Better Renting Campaign

Hackney Council have launched their Better Renting Campaign, which highlights what needs to change to create a fairer system for Hackney’s 32,000 renters.

Too many private tenants get a raw deal – struggling with unaffordable rents, poor conditions and a minority of unscrupulous landlords.

The campaign focuses on four themes:

Fairness for tenants

Tackling rogue landlords

Supporting professional landlords

More affordable rents
