Gascoyne Community Centre

I was delighted to join local residents to celebrate the grand opening of the Gascoyne Community Centre.

Developed by Sanctuary Group, the community centre forms part of a £4.2 million transformation project of the local area, including the construction of new houses and apartments at neighbouring Crisp Court.

Some residents have lived on the Gascoyne estate since it was built over 40 years ago. This iconic new community centre will act as a hub for new and existing residents, young and old.

It was fantastic to hear about residents being involved in the redevelopment at every step. It has helped to build that strong sense of community.

Managed by local community development organisation Hackney Marsh Partnership, the centre features a large hall, meeting room and reception area and is set to become a popular community hub for a variety of activities, including a youth group, karate club and educational sessions.
