Meg to hold broadband roundtable
23 July 2014 at 00:00:00
On Thursday 31 July I will be holding a roundtable to discuss the problems with broadband in Shoreditch and Tech City.
As I have said to the Prime Minister in the past month, broadband is a national embarrassment and action is urgently needed. In Tech City, the much trumpeted European hub of technology, businesses are moving out because they simply cannot access high-speed broadband. Government grants of £3,000 have been added in, but that is like a sticking plaster. We need a comprehensive review of broadband, and plans for infrastructure and roll-out, and for a competitive framework that delivers.
If you are based in the area and are frustrated by poor broadband services please get in touch and share your experiences.
To register your interest in attending please email or call 020 7219 5301. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
