Ministerial Statement on Save the Children's No Child Born to Die campaign

A number of you contacted me in support of Save the Children's No Child Born to Die Campaign. After receiving your emails and letters, I immediately wrote to the Prime Minister to express your concerns and to seek his assurances that he would maintain his commitment of tackling hunger as a key focus of his G8 presidency.

I have now received a response from the Rt Hon Justine Greening MP, the Secretary of State for International Development. She has responded to your concerns about the number of children dying unnecessarily or suffering the life-long impacts of malnutrition.
