Ministerial Statement on the awarding of the DVLA services contract

I have recently received an update from Rt Hon Patrick McLoughlin, the Secretary of State for Transport regarding the retention of DVLA services in post offices.

On 13 November 2012, the Secretary of State for Transport released a written statement to confirm that the DVLA's Front Office Counter Services Contract has been awarded to the Post Office Ltd.

I welcome this decision and I am sure it will come as a great relief to many of you who have supported the retaining of these vital services.
