New-Look Hackney Post Office Officially Opens

With the help of a couple of young Hackney residents, it was great to cut the ribbon and formally open the new Hackney Post Office on Mare Street. I think the Postmaster Prashant Patel has done an excellent job as the place looks fantastic.

The Post Office plays a vital role in the community for residents, small business and the self-employed. The new-look Post Office has five serving positions, two new-style open plan serving positions and modern screened counters.

As well as physical improvements, the Post Office will also be open for an extra seven and a half hours a week. Services will be available from 9am until 7pm every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday and from 9am until 6pm on every Thursday and Saturday.
