1561 warmer Hackney homes

Latest figures show that 1561 homes in Hackney South have so far benefited from the warmfront scheme.

Meg is urging more Hackney residents to come forward and get financial help with energy saving measures such as loft and cavity wall insulation, heating systems and draught proofing.

Warmfront provides up to £2,700 towards home improvements for families on low incomes, disabled and elderly residents.

These types of measures can save households up to £600 a year on energy bills.

Meg said, "With fuel bills still high and climate change such a priority, it's really worth contacting warm front for this work".

To date £688,965 has been invested in Hackney South and Shoreditch.

Warmfront improvements save 1.2 tonnes of CO2 in each household every year for the next twenty years.
