Backing NHS Workers

On Wednesday 19th November, I was proud to co-sign a Bill that would provide a dedicated credit union for NHS workers.

The Bill, if enacted, would ensure that NHS and other care staff have access to low-cost loans and other low-cost financial services. Millions of workers rely on credit to get them through to their next pay cheque, and many have to turn to payday loan companies, high-cost bank overdrafts and other expensive forms of credit.
