Wednesday 31 October saw the official launch of the Bridge Academy with London schools minister Lord Adonis.
The Academy, which is sponsored by City bank UBS, opened its doors to pupils at its temporary building this September, which I visited. Both pupils and teachers are keen to get started in their magnificent new building on Laburnum Street when it opens in autumn 2008.
The school will take pupils from 11 -18 and will specialise in music and mathematics.
