Crown and Manor club

I visited the Crown and Manor club in Hoxton this month. The boys’ sports club has been running for over 100 years and has recently handed over documents for archiving at the London Metropolitan Archive (some containing details of club members during the Second World War).
The club has introduced a pioneering US scholarship programme and currently has six boys playing football and studying at US universities. The club provides football coaching on Monday nights (between 5.30 and 7pm for 6-9 year olds and 7-8.30pm for 10-12 year olds). There are three junior teams and one senior. Other activities at the club include athletics, karate, boxing and table tennis. There are also weekend activities.
