Daubeney School visit

Something hidden to all but pupils and teachers at Homerton’s Daubeney School is the best playground I have ever seen (if you think your school can rival it then let me know!).
Over some five years pupils worked with designers to come up with ideas for a playground which includes standing structures such as a mound and mirror wall as well as temporary structures which can be added to a series of yellow metal posts for imaginative play.
Some items were made specially for the school, which I had the pleasure to visit to celebrate a £1000 award by energy company EDF for a planned food garden.
Congratulations should go to deputy head Lesley Duffin for her commitment and drive in getting the project from initial idea stage to reality.
I now hope that pupils at the school will be among the Hackney school children to visit Parliament over the next year.
