Hackney's Here!

I had the privilege of opening 'Hackney's Here!' at SPACE gallery on Mare Street in June. The exhibition is a collaboration between children from six Hackney schools and six visual artists.

The children, aged between 3 and 9 have been tasked with filling the 4,300 sq ft outdoor courtyard at SPACE with large-scale works of art.

I particularly enjoyed some of the oral art that was part of some of the installations.

The project has been developed by SPACE in partnership with the East Hackney Education Action Zone and the Learning Trust.
