Hackney and East London synagogue

It was an honour to visit Hackney and East London United synagogue to celebrate the Chatan Torah and Bereshit. I was given a tour and met with the Rabbi Naftali Tiefenbrun, honorary officers and members of the synagogue.

There has been a recent rise in anti-Semitic incidents in parts of Hackney. I stressed the importance of focusing on what unites our communities, not what divides us.

I am proud to represent a diverse borough with people of all faiths.
