Mecca Bingo, Hackney Road

Hackney Road’s Bingo club invited me down on Friday to meet with players and join in with a game. I was even allowed to have a go at calling the numbers!

The club is a great social point for its members and really valued in the community.

The club raised with me concerns about ‘double taxation’ (the industry is taxed through profits and entrance fees). I feel it is important that there is a level playing field and I have raised this issue with the Treasury and Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
