Meg gives her supports to Carers Week (14 - 20 June)

Meg is supporting Carers Week 2010, celebrating the contribution made by carers in Hackney South and Shoreditch and throughout the UK who provide care for someone who is ill, frail or disabled.

The theme for Carers Week 2010 is "a life of my own," and calls for greater recognition of the work carers carry out, often making sacrifices in their own lives to care for another. All too often these unsung heroes are also sacrificing their own health, both physical and mental.

Meg said, "Carers look after family and friends for love not money but it is important that their work is recognised, appreciated and that they are given proper support".
