On 27th January we will remember all the victims of the Holocaust.

Hackney has been built on the shoulders of the Jewish Community and is now home to communities that have suffered more recent genocides.

We take pride in working together but we should never forget that in history, when trust and respect have broken down, it has had tragic consequences.

In remembering the victims of the Holocaust and honouring the survivors and rescuers who are still with us we reaffirm our shared goals of tolerance and understanding.
