Opening of LaunchPad Labs

Yesterday I was delighted to officially open LaunchPad Labs, a new non-for-profit start-up incubator based in the heart of Tech City.

LaunchPad Labs aims to support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into business by offering access to heavily subsidised co-working space, an extensive on-demand mentoring scheme delivered by entrepreneurs, and advice on business finance. The charity's initial focus is on young people aged 18-30, with long-term plans to support other disadvantaged groups.

I'm proud to represent this diverse and dynamic community, and welcome innovation to encourage the creation of thriving businesses and social enterprises in the heart of Tech City.

I hope to see it thrive over coming months and years, reaching out and supporting local young people and helping them to see starting a business as a viable option.
