Pembury Fun Day

Last weekend was the first anniversary of the Pembury Children's Community and the Pembury Fun Day.

The Fun Day was organised by Peabody to showcase the community spirit and investment being made in the estate.

The Pembury Children's Community, in partnership with Hackney Council and Save the Children, aims to improve the lives of Pembury's 900 children and young people and their families, through a wide range of support programmes.

Based on the successful Harlem Children's Zone in the United States, the Children's Community is an exciting 10 year programme which aims to make Pembury a great place to live and grow up. Pembury residents are working with Peabody, Hackney Council and others, to enable children and young people to have the best start in life and to improve the lives of families.
