Plans to close Hackney Wick station westbound during the Olympics have been criticised by Meg Hillier MP

Transport for London has announced that it will close the westbound platform of Hackney Wick overground station after 1pm every day for the duration of the Olympic Games.

Meg has asked Transport for London to reverse the decision.
"Businesses have been planning for the Olympics and to learn at this late stage of the closure plan belies the idea that the Olympics would boost Hackney Wick.

"We want more people to come to Hackney during the Games not deter them," Meg said.
