Private renters on Housing Benefit

I joined Hackney Digs to protest against landlords and letting agents refusing to rent to tenants on Housing Benefit.

Many constituents are finding it extremely difficult to find a property when on benefits, with advertisements specifically stating 'no DSS' or 'no benefits'. DSS refers to a government department which no longer exists, but was previously responsible for welfare benefits.

I believe that everyone has the right to a safe, stable home to live in.
