Public meeting in Hackney on fire service cuts

On Monday 20th May between 7-9 pm, a public meeting will be held in Hackney Assembly Hall at Stoke Newington Town Hall to discuss proposals to close 12 fire stations, cut 18 fire engines and lose 520 firefighters, including Kingsland Fire Station. Under the proposals, Kingsland Fire Station would be closed.

The meeting is being held as part of the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority's public consultation on the Draft Fifth London Safety Plan. If you cannot attend the meeting, you can get more details and take part in the consultation here. The consultation will close on Monday 17th June.
