Request for additional funding for staffing

Since being elected I have experienced a year on year increase in constituent enquiries and am facing a sharp rise in enquiries this year. I have already had to revise my response time to constituent enquiries which are not about individual issues but more general campaigns from 10 working days to 15 working days.

In an effort to ensure that I maintain a high standard of service to my constituents I recently applied to IPSA for contingency funding to increase a fixed term, part-time role in my office to a full-time role.

Understandably in these difficult times IPSA have decided not to agree to my request.
