In partnership with the Hackney Gazette Meg has launched The Shopfront awards. Meg is calling on people to nominate their favourite shops in Mare Street and the Narroway
Meg is keen to promote shopping locally in the run up to Christmas. The awards will be given to the best shops in four categories.
The categories are "most attractive shop front", "most accessible for people with disabilities and parents with pushchairs"; "friendliest and most helpful staff", and "shop with the best window display".
The deadline for nominations is 12 January. You can nominate by completing a form in the Hackney Gazette returning it by post to Meg Hillier MP, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA or by emailing Meg through the contact page on this website. Please give your name and address; the name and the address of the shop on Mare street or the Narroway you are nominating; the award you are nominating them for (see categories above) and why.
Alternatively just ask for a nomination form to be sent to you.
