• Thank you to all the councillors who spent years working hard for Hackney and who lost their seats, and congratulations to all those who were elected last week.

• The King’s Speech announced the Government’s legislative agenda for the next year and included commitments on social housing, reforming leasehold – including capping ground rents - and cleaning up our water.

• It is so important we invest in the next generation through work and apprenticeships, which is why I was pleased to welcome the Minister for Skills to Hoxton to meet apprentices delivering new housing on the Colville Estate.
