See above for my weekly round-up of what I’ve been up to in Hackney and Westminster.

• The Governor of the Bank of England and the Monetary Policy Committee came in front of the Treasury Committee where we discussed the impact of the conflict in Iran on the British economy.

• The Chancellor unveiled a package of measures to ease the cost-of-living over the summer, including a VAT cut on many leisure activities so families can enjoy special time together more easily.

• I’ve been out and about in Hackney, including visiting Holy Trinity School to hear about issues including traffic management and other educational concerns.
