See above for my weekly round-up of what I’ve been up to in Hackney and Westminster.
This week:
The Government announced the biggest changes to the water industry in a generation, including the abolishment of Ofwat and the introduction of a new national social tariff scheme for low-income households. In the meantime, if you struggle with your water bill see details about Thames Water's social tariff scheme here.
The Treasury Select Committee questioned the Governor of the Bank of England about financial stability and the changes to mortgage lending that will see more people able to buy a home.
The Liaison Committee (the committee made up of select committee Chairs) questioned the Prime Minister on poverty.
I pressed the Secretary of State for Health about funding for Homerton Hospital.
