See above for my weekly round-up of what I’ve been up to in Hackney and Westminster.

This week:

  • The Secretary of State for Education, Bridget Phillipson, unveiled reforms that will rebuild the system supporting families and children with special educational needs and disabilities so that high standards and inclusion work together. Share your views to the consultation here.

  • I highlighted the excellent work of the mental health charity Mind to the Health Minister. Mind, which has a base in Hackney, is pioneering a service that provides support sessions around two weeks after someone raises their need - delivering a significant positive impact with patients.

  • The Treasury Select Committee heard from the Governor of the Bank of England.

  • I heard the concerns of residents in and around Victoria Park.
